Vindication once more for those who stood mostly alone as they voiced
their early opposition to Halifax's short-lived bid on the 2014

eternally silence the foolhardy whose minority voices today not only
continue to chirp away at what they perceive to be a lost opportunity,
but defend the spend-happy ways of the bid committee.

Blasting the secrecy surrounding HRM's bid, the review says residents
were not regularly informed of the bid's progress "heightening the
perception that the process was not transparent, and, in turn,
weakening public support for the bid."

Perception?
