NS Election - Liberals promising to lower FOI fees according to ALLnovascotia.com

ALLnovascotia.com has posted that the Liberals have promised to reduce the FOI application fee to $5. This is something that Darce Fardy has been fighting for for years now and it remains one of the primary issues for the Right to Know Coalition of Nova Scotia with Darce as President.

An announcement on the Liberal Party website had this statement on FOI today:

"A Liberal Government will improve the transparency of government by
reducing the fees for Freedom of Information Requests from 25 dollars to
5 dollars. We will also review the appropriateness of wait times for
FOIPOP requests."

No word yet from other parties on their views on FOI in Nova Scotia.
