NDP MLA slams government for secrecy

The Canadian Press

January 10, 2008

Victoria -- The NDP is accusing the provincial government of secrecy in the lingering court case stemming from the raid on the B.C. Legislature five years ago.

New Democratic MLA Leonard Krog says government lawyers are continuing to fight to prevent the release of documents to the defence in the corruption case involving two former government aides over the sale of B.C. Rail.

He says the public interest should trump the objections of the government's legal team.
