Austin Mayor Takes Positive Step for Transparency

Under legal scrutiny for past meeting practices by the Travis County Attorney, to determine if private smaller group meetings violated Texas' Open Meetings law, Austin's Mayor Lee Leffingwell is moving forward.  Leffingwell is voluntarily bringing back regularly scheduled public work session's which were discontinued back in the 1970′s.  It is a decision that no only meets the letter of the law – but also its intent.  Thank you Mayor Leffingwell!
