Tx A&M Remains Under Fire for Controversial Public Information Policy

For the Texas A&M University System, 2011 is beginning with even more groups and media organizations criticizing their controversial public information policy.  More than a dozen national organizations such as MSNBC, the National Freedom of Information Coalition, the National Press Foundation and the National Society of Newspaper Columnists have already weighed in on this issue.  And now, two others can be added to the constantly expanding list: the Beaumont Enterprise is calling on Texas A&M to reverse their policy, while the multi-language, international newspaper The Epoch Times, which often criticizes the Chinese Communist Party and policies of the Chinese government, questions the reasons for the policy.
