FOIFT Former President Named One of Nation’s Top Women Attorneys

Congratulations to Laura Prather, partner with Sedgwick, Detert, Moran and Arnold, LLP, for being chosen by American Lawyer as one of the top "45 under 45″ women attorneys in the nation.  Prather, who just completed a two-year term as President of the Freedom of Information Foundation of Texas, is nationally known as a fierce advocate of the First Amendment, as a vigorous defender of privacy rights and for her tenacious representation of various media clients.  She was also instrumental in getting the Free Flow of Information Act signed into law by Governor Rick Perry during the last session of the Texas legislature.  Prather currently serves on FOIFT's Executive Committee as a member of its Board of Directors.
